Umatilla County Fair
We sound like a broken record each year as we report that we again, broke a record! The 2024 Umatilla County Fair Youth Livestock Auction shattered our 2023 record with $1,504,318 on 326 lots. The 2023 Youth Livestock Auction sold 288 lots for $1,343,288 up from 2022's 267 lots for $1,154,762.89 and LEAPS above 2021's $787,151 on 219 lots! These phenomenal numbers are due to our participating youth, all of our buyers and bump supporters and all of our generous sponsors, and donors who chose to support the kids.
The 2025 auction will again include live streaming for online participation through liveauctions.tv.

Are you ready to experience the thrill of a youth livestock auction? At the Umatilla County Fair, we've been hosting these dynamic events since 1912.
The Youth Livestock Auction is one of the most important events at the Umatilla County Fair. We get to watch the next generation enter the world of livestock sales, where all of their hard work pays off and they start making money for college and next year's livestock projects.
Our young 4-H and FFA Ag students sell a variety of animals:
The Umatilla County Fair Youth Livestock Auction supports local 4-H and FFA livestock exhibitors by providing a platform for them to sell their market animals at 10:00 AM on the last day of the fair.
2024's bump set a record for total dollars with over $69,000 from 45 donors and supported 148 of our exhibitors.
We greatly appreciate the 354businesses and individuals who supported this year's event whether they purchased an animal, added on to an exhibitor and/or supported the Bump program!
Go to www.liveauctions.tv, create an account, select our auction, and register for a bidder number. Livestockauctions.tv apps are available for both iPhone and Android so you can watch and bid from your phone.
Through the online chat screen, you will be asked if your animal is resale or custom. If you select custom, you will need to state your preferred custom processor from the list below.
No, we will invoice all buyers after the sale. First-time buyers are encouraged to pay at the time of sale. All purchases/donations should be paid before the end of September. Credit cards are accepted if buyer is willing to pay the merchant processing fee which will be calculated upon request.
Make sure you log in from a location with reliable connectivity. At times there can be a few-second lag between the online audio and the auction. The auctioneer will take this into consideration when online bidders are participating in an animal and will wait to allow online bidders ample opportunity to respond when they’ve been outbid.
Bidding by proxy means that you as a buyer, authorize UCF sale staff to bid live on your behalf on a certain animal or species up to a certain price per pound or total dollar amount.
Sales staff will contact you after the sale is completed if you are the successful bidder. If you select custom process – we will send animals to the processor that you selected on the proxy form (see the list at the bottom of this page named "custom process purchases." You will be invoiced after the sale.
An add-on is a designated amount to one or more specific exhibitors in the auction.
Buyer/donation information can be found can be found here. Add-ons will be accepted through August 19th.
The sale order will be posted on our Facebook page and the UCF website Friday morning, the day before the sale.
We have three local custom processors who will accept any purchases from our auction. At the time of purchase, be prepared to state your preferred processor. Please do not contact them ahead of the auction.
Custom processor contact information - You will need to contact them directly the week following the auction with your instructions:
Please note: custom process options NOT are available for rabbits or turkeys.
I had a good time putting things in the fair. Good display of 4H. Enjoyed walking thru to see all of the animals. Looks like the 4H and FFA kids were having a good time showing their animals. Lots of ribbons throughout. Then we really enjoyed the Farm City Pro rodeo on Saturday night. Not forgetting the good shaving ice.
